Sustainability Reporting
Mirvac is committed to conducting a Sustainability report on an annual basis.
Mirvac has released a 2008 Sustainability Progress Report. This is our third public sustainability report and focuses on the significant progress we have made to date in integrating sustainability into our business, as well as where further work is planned.
Mirvac’s 2007 report detailed over 100 commitments and targets across our six sustainability priority areas – Business Conduct, Mirvac People, Stakeholders, Supply Chain, Environmental Impact and Climate Change Action. The focus of this report is on summarising the significant progress to date against these commitments and targets with many considerable achievements to report.
The report also details commitments under our sustainability strategy that we have yet to achieve and we will continue to pursue these this financial year with a view to again publicly report our performance later this year, to coincide with our 2009 Annual Report.
Importantly, the release of the report recognises that amongst challenging economic conditions, Mirvac’s commitment to sustainability has not diminished. It remains an important pillar of the business and Mirvac continues to strive to be an industry leader, albeit tempered by a conservative approach in line with our business strategy.
