COVID-19 Crisis Management

1st June 2020

Mirvac has Crisis and Incident Management plans for each of its buildings. An Incident Management Team has been established to manage any incidents or risks related to COVID-19.

Tenants are required to notify the Department of Health (DOH) if they have a confirmed case of COVID-19. It is also important to notify Mirvac and we can then help you and advise of appropriate actions. The DOH will give guidance and will consult with businesses in the first instance and then, if required, Mirvac regarding what steps to take to mitigate the risk of the virus spreading. This may or may not include complete evacuation.

To help us with our incident management plan, we request that you also provide us with a copy of your own COVID-19 Crisis and Incident Management plans so we have all the information required to work together in the event that an incident occurs.  We ask that all tenants fulfil their duty of care to all building occupants, and notify Mirvac immediately upon becoming aware of an employee or visitor within your tenancy who is a confirmed case of COVID-19 or come in to close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

Mirvac will communicate recommendations from the Department of Health (DOH) to all tenants who may have been exposed to a confirmed case.  Our job then is to determine what areas/facilities may have been used by this person so we can immediately notify cleaning contractors to disinfect all areas of the building the individual may have been in contact with. In some situations the whole building may need to be evacuated, this would be done in consultation with the DOH and Mirvac who will advise tenants as necessary.
