The Design & As Built v1.3 Design Review certified rating represents ‘Australian excellence’ in sustainable construction.

Mirvac BTR Sector Lead, Angela Buckley, said LIV Anura will feature a range of sustainability initiatives including 100 per cent renewable energy, and a comprehensive transport sharing program - cars, bikes and E-scooters.

“Mirvac has a strong sustainability track record. We’ve met our goal to be net positive in carbon emissions (scope 1 and 2) and are now working on the challenging area of scope 3 emissions, which are those created in our supply chain and by our customers. We’re also targeting zero waste to landfill by 2030,” she said.

“Projects like LIV Anura, which is being delivered in partnership with the Queensland Government, help set a new industry benchmark for sustainability.”

LIV Anura is located 3 kilometres north of the Brisbane CBD in the inner-city suburb of Newstead, within the Mirvac Waterfront Masterplan development. It will deliver 396 high quality rental apartments including approximately 99 affordable housing units. It will encompass over 3,000 square metres of indoor and outdoor amenity for residents including a dedicated amenity floor with a variety of offerings including gym, pool, spa, media room and co-working facilities.

The 5 Star Design Review rating for LIV Anura, follows the success of Mirvac’s Heritage Lanes office development at 80 Ann Street in Brisbane, which was the first building in Australia to achieve a 6 Star Green Star Buildings certified rating. The ~$800m world-class office tower, which spans 35-levels, is designed for 7,000 employees and incorporates more than 60,000 square metres of premium-grade office space. It is one of Australia’s smartest buildings, embracing leading technology, sustainability and design.
