Mirvac Expands Residential Pipeline with Milperra Acquisition.

Mirvac Group today announced it has acquired an 18-hectare parcel of land, known as Riverlands at Milperra, NSW as it continues to grow its residential development pipeline.

The Riverlands site was a golf course until it was rezoned for residential use in 2016. The site provides excellent connectivity for future residents with direct access to the new-duplicated M5 Motorway, as well as being located 3.5 kilometres from the East Hills Station.

The site will benefit from the new Bankstown West Metro Rail upgrade in 2024. Future residents will also enjoy a high level of existing social infrastructure at their doorstep with local shopping villages and schools nearby.

The proposed development includes a total of 350 residential dwellings, along with a suite of residents’ amenities including tennis courts, pool and barbecue area. The project will be designed to maximise the community’s access to the river foreshore, including a 3.5-kilometre cycleway along the riverfront which will be dedicated to council and link two existing council reserves.  Subject to approvals, work is expected to commence in late 2020 and be completed by 2025.

Stuart Penklis, Head of Residential said, “This is a rare and exceptional opportunity to secure this well-located site in a market that we know so well, with our most recent development located directly across the George’s River, at our award-winning Brighton Lakes.

“Our vision is to unlock the riverside parklands along the Georges River where a new community can thrive and grow. We will be creating Mirvac quality designed homes that reflect the environment, by being nestled in and amongst the existing trees and carefully orientated to maximise views of the surrounding area.

“This acquisition is consistent with our strategy and reinforces our ability to identify and secure opportunities in the right location, delivering the right product at the right price,” he said.

In keeping with Mirvac’s strong commitment to sustainability the Group will be targeting leading sustainability ratings for the new community.
