We are proud of our Heritage Lanes project team for their recognition in May, awarded the Corporate Volunteering Award at @Volunteering Queensland Awards 2022.

Set to be one of Australia’s most sustainable buildings upon completion in a few weeks, Heritage Lanes has been purposely designed to revitalise the urban precinct and enrich the Brisbane city community. Since the development’s inception in 2018, the team worked closely with the community on a variety of volunteering initiatives, determining there was an overwhelming need to support homeless and financially disadvantaged people. They developed a goal to improve community engagement and reduce isolation through working with the local homeless community.

Having formed a partnership with @Micah Projects - a not-for-profit organisation that provides assistance for those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness – the Heritage Lanes team has delivered over $130,000 of financial donations and over 397 staff volunteering hours to support Micah’s important services to date.

Mirvac aims to be a force for good, to provide opportunities to those who don’t always get them, and to support organisations that are set up for a purpose. The Heritage Lanes team has formed a true connection and commitment to this cause with employees genuinely proud to support Micah Project’s goal to house as many people as possible and as quickly as they can.
