The leak was running at approximately 5 litres per minute, which equates to over 2.6 ML a year. To put that in perspective, that’s more than an Olympic-sized swimming pool of wasted water annually. In addition to this, if left unchecked, the leak would have cost the asset over $8,500 a year. The leak was flagged with the facilities manager at 40 Miller Street, who immediately took action to repair it. Quick identification and prompt action to repair the leak saved a significant amount of water.
